Gwadar is a port city located in the southwest of Balochistan. This city is near to the boarder of Iran and Oman. This territory was purchased by Pakistan in 1958 from Muscat and Oman. People of Gwadar earn their livelihood by artisanal fishing.
In 2015, China signed the CPEC and announced to develop this city when it was established as a reasonable site for a seaport. According to the data collected in 2014, the total population of this city is approximately 85,000. This city has developed rapidly and will be contributing largely to the economy of Pakistan. Gwadar Airport is expected to be operational by the end of 2017, and will attract investors and businessmen around the globe.
